Healing is an active process that requires a willingness to change. It is not about willpower or discipline, but about releasing the underlying need for the negative condition. For example, instead of fighting excess weight with diets, the focus is on releasing the need for protection that the weight represents.

The power of affirmations and mirror work

Positive affirmations are a primary tool for reprogramming the subconscious mind. By consistently making positive statements in the present tense (e.g., "I approve of myself"), you begin to plant new "seeds" for the experiences you desire. The most powerful way to practice affirmations is through "mirror work"—looking directly into your own eyes in a mirror and lovingly affirming your worth. This practice directly confronts self-criticism and builds a foundation of self-acceptance.

Releasing the past through forgiveness

Holding on to past hurts only punishes you in the present moment. Forgiveness is the act of letting go of the past to free yourself. This does not mean condoning the behaviour of others, but rather releasing the emotional charge you carry. The process involves being willing to release resentment and understanding that those who hurt you were also acting from their own pain and limitations. By forgiving, you dissolve the resentment that can cause illness and open yourself to love and healing.
